What a wonderful Evening...

Last night, was wonderful. We had a great time at the open house so did everyone that managed to make it. It decided to snow and snow and snow yesterday so some of our families weren't able to make it.
The kids were able to put on their productions of Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice.
Dallas as Banquo for "Macbeth" (I bet he wishes now that he gave me a decent picture)

Dallas as Gratiano in "The Merchant of Venice"

Liam wouldn't let me take his picture or I would have him plastered here too. I was so proud of my boys last night. Liam helped shovel sidewalks and put down de-icer and when it was time to leave, he was out there digging out and cleaning off cars so that people could get their cars out. Dallas helped with clean up and then helped carry  stuff out to the cars. All with out having to be asked. They surprise me sometimes in the most delightful ways. James did a wonderful job as emcee of the evening and I ran around helping with set up, props, costumes and taking pictures. We had our tables set up so that the parents could see what everyone else was teaching. I taught the 3-5 graders about inventors and had them come up with their own inventions. James is teaching Geometry to the High School kids.

After we were done for the night, we drove (if that is what you could call it) some friends home and skated our way safely home. James and Dallas got up at 6am this morning to shovel driveways for Dallas's customers. I got up at 9 and it looked like this outside:
Thank goodness, I have no where to go today.

  1. WOW! Hoping this snowstorm doesn't make its way to the midwest! I bet your productions were great. I admire you for doing such a phenomenal job homeschooling your kiddos!
